First I want to thank everyone who has posted info on this site. I have been following this site for about 2 months while in the ordering process and your info has been a great help. By using the tracking thread, I found out that the ship (Don Pasquale) bringing my MINI (named "Eagle") left the Panama canal yesterday and will be in Port Hueneme CA next Saturday. Knowing the delivery process makes the wait a little more bearable.
My wife & kids decided that it was time for me to have something very nice after 35 years of marriage. They insisted (and I didn't protest) on adding many extras that will make this car very special to me. Among other extras it has the convenience, & premium packages, sport suspension, nav system, and is Horizon Blue w/black top.
I had been following MINI's for a couple of years, but it wasn't until I had a great discussion with my instructor at the Bob Bondurant racing school that made me really want one. My instructor has access to Corvettes, formula one's and CTS-V's but he races MINI's.
I look forward sharing more about my car and also participating in this MINI community. It looks like only nice people buy MINI's.

 

hope you enjoy the new mini (if it ever shows up) I'm sure it will be soon but the wait is just a killer.
