I was at a meet up with a group of mini drivers from western NY and this site was brought up as being huge and informative. So I thought I'd join.

I'm a veterinarian in the Buffalo NY area. I got my '09 R56 in British racing green about 2 months ago. I started planning my future Mini Cooper during vet school after I had to sell my WRX.

Pretty much the first thing I did with my new mini was drive it at the local BMW club's autocross event. (It was free...) This may sound daft but having tracked Miatas and then Subarus in WA, it never occurred to me to drive a Mini, but holy crap what a fun autocross car! Who knew!

I can't wait until next summer. (In the meantime, I will see how it performs in a Buffalo winter.)
