Noise finally fixed

Had my R56 Mini Cooper to the local BMW/Mini dealer for the last 4 days. I went to them indicating that there was a noise coming through the firewall, via the A/C heater unit. So their first response was to rip out the dash and check everything, and also to insulate a few points. They put it back together, took it for a drive and decided the noise was still coming through the firewall, via the A/C heater unit. They decided to put the car on a hoist and discovered that the Compressor unit bolts did not have nuts on them, because the bolts were too short, so longer bolts and nuts and the noise is definitely gone...pity they didn't look there first...it would have saved the 4 days work!

True it would have been great if they discovered the problem from the start...but look at it from the positive in that they really worked the problem until the found the root cause !!

What was the noise like? Kudos to the dealers for their effort!
