This is a link to several of the live webcams at various places (such as Milaflores and Gatun Locks):

UAL_: Any thoughts on the K-Line ship (Georgia Highway) that was in Southampton yesterday? Same location and timing as the WW ships. Odd thing was it didn't appear in the MarineTraffic site that I normally track/stalk the ships with, but was appearing on the site with the two webcams. I didn't check it's arrival/departure, but did see it parked at good ole 34/35.

When I put the two maps side by side, I saw a couple of ships here and there that were on one, and not the other. I like the MarineTraffic one, cause the other one that just uses those googlemap looking pushpins and has lines pointing the forward path of each moving ship I don't like using as much.

But anyway... Any Coopers on that ship, ya think? I guess I can only confirm I'm NOT on that ship if I ever show up on the WW site (still not there, but didn't really expect to show up until the day of the Faust).

Yes, my MA never gave me the "vehicle inquiry report" (I ordered two days after my test drive because they were looking for a production slot for me, so that was all done long distance), and made me feel like an idiot when I asked him about it....

OK, I think I found a link to real-time ship traffic through the Panama Canal... this may only work with Firefox:

http://www.vesseltracker.com/en/Area/panama/Map.html

It doesn't show any ships off the coast - just ones that are in the process of crossing through the canal. There sure are a lot of ships waiting for passage - I hope the Porgy has a reservation!

Interesting. The, "How to track your Mini," thread does say they use K-Line. The thread also says they use the Charleston SC port. It also says it is nearly impossible to track your car if it is on the K-Line without the help of your MA.

Who knows, your car could be on that ship!

I just noticed that the above link has a 24-hour delay. But, you can sign up for a free registration that gives you a view of ship locations with a 1 to 2-hour delay. They also offer a no-delay view to "professional" users - $65 monthly membership fee.

I signed up for that site a while ago. I have not seen the Panama map that you showed me. I found that site to be useless in the past unless you pay the fee.

Oh by the way, don't forget, the Porgy will be coming through the Gatun locks first since it is coming from the Atlantic.

Once again thanks for all the help in tracking the Undine. Now I am waiting for the call from my dealership that the car is in. Good luck to you all.

Were you able to confirm that your car was discharged off the Undine by VIN? Don't forget to post up pictures when you get the car. All of us want to see it.

Y2K Falcon

I have a weird feeling that your car might be on the K-Line ship, Georgia Highway, that left the other day. Keep checking Ask Mini or Owner's Lounge these couple of days to see if the status of your car changes.

Negatory, Ghost Rider!

Now, I'm NOT going to give you my VIN, for privacy reasons, but as you know... the last 5 digits are assigned sequentially or something....

If you go to WW and search for WMWMM33539TP7, you will see me.... Don't give away which car is mine.

What I don't get is

1) why I didn't see it until today, though it says it all took place days ago... and,
2) why the marinetraffic site seems to be down when I need it the most!

Your car gets to choose which parking spot on the ship since it was the first to arrive.

Doesn't really matter. It is like being able to pick the best seat on a Southwest Airline plane--all the seats are cramped.

Newbie here.....although I've been lurking ever since my baby went thru the birth canal on 08/26. I'm so glad to have found this thread to help track his/her progress. You are all awesome!! Although my baby has been at the port for several days, I just this morning learned that he/she is scheduled on the Sep 08 Faust. Here's hoping on the voyage that Y2K Falcon will see another '09, this one yellow w/white stripes, also heading for Texas.

Definitely a friendly and helpful bunch on this site. I've been (silently) following this thread and am amazed at how detail oriented you all are at tracking the progress of your babies, almost minute by minute. I laughed and told myself that I wouldn't be that focused. Yep. I tell myself that every hour or so when I log in to see what's new.
