Hello Gentlemen

Hey guys! Several weeks ago, I picked up a Mini Cooper S in pepper white for my wife. Since we brought it home, I haven't been able to stop driving this thing! I come from a background of Racing and AWD platforms, so I was a bit skeptical about a tiny FWD SC car, but to I am very pleasantly surprised.

I do fear having to maintain this thing, which is why I plan on doing a lot of reading here.

Thanks
Lex

Welcome and congratulations!

There are lots of ladies here, too, by the way. Of course, there are also some boys and some girls, too.

Glad you found us! There's a lot of info here and I'm sure you'll find much of it helpful!

I'm used to car forums, with a 99/1 boy/girl ratio. Sorry for the assumption.

Totally understand! Wasn't saying it with ill intent.

I spend most of my hours on a Harley forum...it's bout 80/20 there. Good times.

What kinds of options do you have on the car? Have some pictures? We love pictures.

Welcome to the forum, good place for information and to learn about your MINI.

Pictures, mods (if any), the MINI becomes addictive.

Lots of good information via the search function, if you can't find it ask in the appropriate sub-forum area. Usually someone has encountered the problem or has a suggestion.

I hope you and your wife enjoy your MCS as much as I have enjoyed mine.

A couple of thoughts regarding maintaining your MINI; Consumer Reports now recommends MINI as the dependability has improved over the model years. I don't expect Honda reliability but I don't let the number of problems I find here scare me too much. If you look in a Honda message board you would think that Hondas break down all the time. Negative posts typically outnumber positive posts.

Point it towards the twisties and let the grins begin
