(Why I'm here):
I am going to look at buying my first MCS today. It's an 02 with 58k, loaded with options, and bone stock.

Is there anything I should look for on the test drive? It's been "dealer maintained" so I am anxious to see the records on the car.

(A little about me):
While this might be my first Mini it's not my first rodeo, I've own 23+ cars (I'm only 23), mainly Mustangs. I am buying the Mini to be my daily because my 91 Mustang 5.0 just isn't a practical daily.

Also, I plan on trying G-stock for while in the Mini. I've always loved to autocross but have never owned and autocross a car with the potential to be competitive.

Anyway, sorry for the novel but any tips on the future purchase would be great!

Look for "a grin" you should be able to find a grin when you go for a test drive

 

Hello and Welcome to NAM Ben, congrats on the MINI. The MINI is near it's "service #2" and if it's not been done make sure you at least get the belt replaced ASAP.

The Mini is home. I have driven it about 150 miles and I love it! It's much more fun then I ever could have expected.

Everything seems to be OK with it except with the Runflats... bleh.

Also, could someone link me to what needs to be done for Service two?
