Member for awhile but first post
So I've been a member for I think 9 months now or maybe even longer but this is my first post. I usually hang out on a mustang forum seeing as how thats my project BUT I'm getting in the mood to start giving my baby DD some attention so I thought I'd make an appearance seeing as how all of the stuff I've found on here so far has been really helpful.
I have a 2002 Jet-Black justacooper with a CVT. I REALLY wanted the 5 speed or even better an S but could not find one in my price range (I'm in college so money can be tight) or if I could afford it it was some color like sunshine yellow or some other non masculine color really. (No offense to those men out there with sunshine yellow MINIs.) But you shouldn't hate on the CVT because its prob the coolest tranny around. I have just as much fun driving it as I have with a manual; and that's without putting it in steptronic mode.
I found my baby on a whim on June 24, 2008 while I was giving up finding one. She was sitting at the local Honda dealer and had only been there 2 days when I picked her up and took her home. Haven't done a lot of mods yet, I blacked out the grille and am thinkin about losing all chrome cuz i think there is nothing sicker than a "murdered out" MINI. They have a lot of AutoX going on in St. Louis, MO I hear and I just can't wait to make it up there from Joplin, MO and put her and myself to the test.
