My "DASH" is scheduled to be completed and ready to go to port on April 21st, 2009! She is Black with a white roof and white racing stripes. She has the interior and exterior chrome package as well as premium and cold. I can't wait to hear who I am waiting with!!

 

I hope your shipmates find you soon. It will make the time you are waiting go much smoother AND it might keep you sane.

I don't know.. .I think I am already insane I bought AC/DC Back in Black today in honor of Dash entering the paint stage! (She is Midnight Black). I think my friends think I have lost it! Oh well.....

That's great! Lilly is a great name Where did you order from? I am in Cincinnati. I guess the boat comes into Charleston and then a drive up here. What is your status? Is Lilly built yet? I am expecting "Dash's" birthday to be Tuesday. There is a boat that leaves the 24th, 29th and May 7th. PRAY FOR THE FIRST TWO!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait, I have the fever!

 

I ordered from Iraq! Well - I'm in Iraq, I'm based out of Texas, my girlfriend ordered from the dealer in San Antonio - so far, so good. I think ours are supposed to be born the same day - the last time we checked with ASK MINI they said she was due to be finished on the 21st!

I don't get back to the States until the end of May at the earliest so I won't get to drive her for a while, but I'm still very excited! My port says SSIPOA on the order, so they might split ways on the ride to the States :( I'm sure they'll make new friends on the boat

 

I just got a message from my girlfriend - Lilly is "IN TRANSIT"!!!!! I think she was in the paint shop yesterday - that's a day early! WOOHOO!

 

That's awesome! Is in Transit on the way to the ship port or on a boat? I am going to call now!!!

 

Well, they still have me listed in the paint shop! Tomorrow is the official day so I guess I won't get worried until tomorrow passes. So happy for you that she is on the way! Where did you say she ships to?

 

I'm not 100% sure where she's going first, I think In Transit means on the way to the boat, and the boat is supposed to go to Brunswick GA - do you have a link to where I can check the boats?

 

Here are the ones to both the WW line and the K Line. They can be confusing... There are more boats going to Brunswick than to Charleston. It looks like if I don't make the one on the 24th I will have to wait until May 8th.

How did you find out she was at the port??? Mine has had an identity change! I am naming her Lola and she has hawaiian bonnet stripes on the bonnet and on the boot. The car is black with white roof and the flowers are white That is AWESOME she is at the port!!!! I wish I could get word mine is. All it says is through quality check since Monday :(

 

Hi week 16ers. My Mini Copper S is sailing the seas on the Medea. He set sail on April 21. My boy is supposed to be in Brunswick, GA on May 5, 2009 to be delivered to Atlanta. I haven't picked out a name yet for him. I was thinking about Spaz or Skeeter or Skippy or ???. My boy is a Dark Silver, black top, black bonnet stripes, interior and exterior chrome package, 17'' web spoke wheels, rear fog lights, anthracite headliner, hifi stereo, convenience, cold weather, premium, sport, piano black, dark grey color line, and leather punch black. What the hey, you only live once ...right. So, you might as well motor on with a smile.

Shout out to Melcmini. I am a native Cincinnatian. Man do I miss Skyline chilli and Greaters icecream. There is no better icecream on the planet than Greaters ... NONE! Awesome that a fellow buckeye's mini might be on the same boat as my boy. I am going bonkers waiting on my Mini. Not to mention, I wanted to take advantage of the 3.9% so I signed the papers for him today. He is now officially mine but what a downer when I had no Mini to drive home today. Paddle faster my boy, paddle faster.

Lola didn't make the boat..... I am hoping there will be another one going to Charleston before May 6th. That is when the next one is listed. I don't understand all the shipping schedules, especially the K line. One can hope!!

I love Buckeye Blitz from Graeters!!!!!! I do have to admit though... I am not a Skyline Chili fan...

LOVE the name Skippy! I also like Zippy. I have a husband, three sons, a boy dog and a boy fish (or so I am told) so I NEED a girl car!

Boy fish - LOL!! Does he leave his fish socks all over the place? That would be a good indicator!

I'm hoping Lola makes it to Charleston soon too - it's really nice there, I used to go to Chucktown all the time, she won't be disappointed

 

I was able to view my Mini on the WW site once it was scheduled to be on the Medea. You input your VIN# in the Cargo ID field. You can also input part of your VIN# and include a wildcard to get a current list of cars. You can then search for your VIN# just in case you were typing it wrong. For example, try inputting the first 10 characters followed by % (WMWMF73549TT%) and see if your VIN# is on the list.
