Hi All, this is my first post. I actually wanted to reply to the thread 'new mini surprise for the wife' but am unable to get access without starting a thread. Anyway, I am 'the wife' in question and am lucky enough to be married to probably the most romantic and generous man on this planet. Yes, he bought me a beautiful Mellow Yellow and sprung it on me as a complete surprise when I returned from the UK to Germany last week. It's an absolute dream to drive - like driving a roller skate (with a rather powerful engine!) and it corners like it's glued to the road. Just enjoying the speed-limit-free autobahns while we can before moving Stateside. Anyway, I didn't want to gloat; just to post on here to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to my wonderful husband and declare my unbridled excitement at suddenly becoming part of a very classy club!

Wow.... my fiance didn't get that excited when I bought her a MINI. I'm going to have to find a way to make sure she sees this thread. I got a "thanks, that's really cool" and the right to wash another MINI every week for nearly three years, and counting.

Glad to hear how excited you are! My wife was really stoked about ordering and picking up her MINI after I sold her on the idea she really should have one! Man she loves that car now! And I also have to keep it sparkling clean.
