Targa Newfoundland 2009 - Mini 50th year
Targa Newfoundland 2009 - Mini 50th year
Fellow Mini Enthusiasts
You are cordially invited to attend the 8th annual Targa Newfoundland competition being held September 12th to 19th
One of only three Targa competitions held in the world today, this is truly a world class motorsports event. Comprised of 5 days of competition over 1400 miles, Targa Newfoundland is held in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Competition is on closed public roads and requires a driver and navigator
In respect to its 50th year of production the Mini is the honoured marque this year. Last year several classic and 2 modern Minis competed in the event
Though the event is competitive, there is tremendous camaraderie.
Please join us in what is a truly world class motorsport experience. The website is targanewfoundland.com
The following is an invitation from the president of Newfoundland international Motorsports Limited, Robert Giannou
It gives me great pleasure as president of Newfoundland international Motorsports Limited to invite you to our 2009 Targa Newfoundland Mini-MINIFEST to be held between September 12th and 19th. We have made the Mini the honoured marque of the event and created a new category especially for collectors. Targa normally runs two classes: Targa (full race, cages etc.) and Grand Touring ( no cages just miscellaneous safety equipment). Both of these classes are hotly contested.
The new category Touring, will be non-competitive and will allow the entrant to drive the closed stages of the event at speeds suitable to them and their vehicle. We know it will be a blast so come and join us. We have prepared a great welcome for you. For more details or to enter, please call Alexandra Healey at 1-709-687-1150 or e-mail her at alexandra@targanewfoundland.com
