I'm down with a photo gathering!

What's the "MINI Mobility kit"?

And here's my build, even though it's in my signature.

'09 MCS all Astro Black
Limited-Slip Differential
Multi-Function Steering Wheel
Sport Suspension
All-Season tires
Hi-Fi Stereo
Rear Fog Lamps
And I'll be looking into Aesthetic Creations for some matte black bonnet or sport stripes, just to mix thing up a little

The MINI mobility kit is a small electric compressor and latex nodule designed to temp repair non-runflat tires (like my G-Force Sports). an expensive fixoflat measure that evidently does not interfere with repair by gunking up the inside.

And word is out that the factory ran out of anthracite headliners for W36 and 37 Clubman builds and gave the customers the option of keeping the light colored HL, having the dealer reinstall a AH, or ordering a new car. See? it's a good thing we werent the first two build weeks in the MY.

I'd be up for a photo op

My weekends are getting totally jammed up though. I did carve a little time out of the insane schedule to do a road trip after R'lyeh arrives.

Santa Fe, here I come!

I cant believe they bumped the boat back a day. It used to say the 23 now the 24. Only good thing is that my MA told me that because its close to the end of the month that BMW will be trying to push our cars out faster so they can get to the dealer hence us faster. Come on Isolde lets do this.

I think I paid about $125, but U do get a mini compressor that plugs into the car's electrical system for other purposes like blowing up yr inner tube. If U go to Classic MINI in Ohio and order from them, mention yr a NAM member and I think it's 25% off.

And I HIGHLY recc the BF Goodrich G-Force Sports: quiet, sticky, seem to wear well, cool tread pattern, and great in the rain. About $80-90 each thru Discount Tire dot com. I'll run the all-season RSC's in the winter and the GFS's in the spring summer and fall.

Oh and a hearty WELCOME to all the latecomers!

I was thinking Falkens. Run about 100 each and my roommate says they are great tires for track and road. We dont really get rain here but i want the kit for the just in case situation. Ill be looking into that kit for sure. Even with runflats.

I think the Isolde was probably delayed due to the whole hurricane mess in galveston...maybe the ports aren't operating as quickly as before? Or maybe they had to add a day due to going off course to avoid stormy weather?

4 weeks from SH to PH? WTF?? that's only a 3 week (21 day) journey tops, even if U add a day to the Galveston stopover. In another week let's check again; sometimes the timetables can move either way depending on canal traffic and weather. Maybe this time it can move back to the 23rd, or even better the 20th. My paperwork is done as well as the financing--I want my car dammit!

looks like Isolde's original one day port o call in Galveston turned into three days, hence the delay. who knows? maybe now that the boat is lighter it can go faster. Go Isolde Go!!

I guess the port must be more damaged than i thought. I figured that it might cause a delay but 3 days...grrrr. I may have to buy some oars to make up for the lost time there.
