GreyLens says Hey!
Hello my fellow mini freaks. I just ordered my first Cooper S: All pure silver, no sun roof but most other options. Also got the JCW aero kit, big brakes, audio upgrade, the "horseshoe" wheels and other things. I owned a mini while stationed in Cornwall from 1972-1976 (former Air Force). The dealer I bought it from was laying in wait for his next "yank" victim. It was in very poor shape. But, on a meager budget and with lots of time we fixed it up ok and had a blast. They were cool then but nothing like the current run. I'm pumped.
Have yet to figure out how to track delivery but was told around thanksgiving.
I'd like to join a club here in San Antonio but there isn't one listed, though I've heard rumors that one is out there...help appreciated.
I'm also new to forums like this so any advice on customs and courtesies will be appreciated. Did I mention that I'M PUMPED!!!!!

Welcome to NAM!
Where were you stationed in the UK? I was at Lakenheath for a bit.
There's a stick thread at the top of this forum that should give you everything you need to know about tracking. Start with ASKMINI, and your MA can tell you what ship your car is scheduled for.

UK Station
I was station at "RAF St Mawgan"...about 300 miles southeast of London. I used to go to RAF Croughton a lot. Was with the "Silk Purse" operation based out of Mildenhall. Had a great time!!
When were you at Lakenheath? Back when I was in the UK "Welcome to NAM" meant something different.
Thanks for heads up on tracking...will check it out.
