Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. I've been a fan of Coopers (particularly the S models...) for a long time, and have long considered buying one. About 6 months back, I bought a Porsche 944 that has been, well, "less than kind" to me. A little while back I decided I'd had enough of it, and set about looking for something to replace it. With gas the way it is today, and the prospect of commuting to college daily looming in my near future, I knew I needed something that gets decent gas mileage... However as an automotive enthusiast and avid autocrosser, I've never been one to buy a car based solely on practicality. So of course the only car that popped into my head was the MCS - with a supercharged engine and go-kart like handling, what better way to go? With my mind made up, I set about searching the vast market for my ideal MCS. Recently, my search has picked up a lot of momentum, and I may be on the verge of Mini-ownership if all works out according to plan! And so here I am.
