Proud parent of my first MINI

Hello MINI community,
I am new to this site but wanted to say "Hello" and introduce my new to me 2006 MCS convertible; pepper white with manual transmission and a hoot to spin around town. I already have one oops to report: I purchased the magnetic stone chip guards to go just anterior the rear wheel, they are supposed to be removable right? Well, after 2 days of +100degree temps, they have apparently "melted" to the car!!! I cannot remove them without tearing them and leaving pieces on the car. Any helpful remedies???

Congrats on your MINI and welcome. Bummer about the guards melting to the car. With any luck, someone in NAM can give you a good remedy.

Take it back to the dealer and have them remove them. They should have explained to you that they do not do well in the heat. Depending on the method they use to get them off, if they damage anything they will responsible for correcting. Just my .02
