My MA told me that my mini comes in the 31st so I am guessing I am on the Caribbean highway also.

 

Just found out we're on the Caribbean Highway too. Woo hoo!

 

So its supposed to come in Thursday! Any idea how long from port to dealership (Illinois)? Its funny my MA told me two weeks, but I am hoping that is a slower time estimate and keep thinking it will get here earlier (wishfull thinking). I'm really hoping to have it by 7/9 so I can take it to Road America in WI.

 

In case any of you haven't checked Charleston's schedule lately, she docked last night and is scheduled to start unloading in 15 minutes (8 ET)!!

My MA emailed me to tell me that the car was unloaded off the Caribbean Highway today. Now to the VDC!

My Mini is about a week behind you. on the way to Charleston.
My MA told me it takes about five days to get the car to Memphis. I'm not sure how long it will take to get to Illinois...I would guess about the same length of time.

 

Was that five days once it's on the truck or 5 days from being unloaded off the boat? Since she's coming to Memphis too, that would be awesome if it's 5 days from today !

 

It's probably wishful thinking, but I'm guessing five days after the ship arrives. You know, the dealer wants to get his money too. lol.

Which dealership in Dallas did you order from? I ordered from Mini of Dallas. I'm also on the Caribbean Highway. Has your MA given you an idea of when you can pick up your mini?

I'm at the MINI of Dallas as well. Haven't heard from my MA yet. Could it possibly be next week?!

 

 

I ordered from Moritz in Arlington and MA said it should be there Thursday and I could pick up Friday or Saturday.

I ordered from Moritz as well...did you call to get the info about delivery or did they call you? I hope mine will be ready next week too!

 

I talked with my MA at MoD this afternoon. He said my mini would be in by mid next week, but he'll be out of town until the following week....therefore, he says I won't be able to pick up my car until Monday the 11th at the earliest.

 

I called them.

 

MoD here as well - been exchanging e-mails with my MA today. He didn't offer up when the car would be in, but I'll be in South Caroline for the next two weeks -- I imagine the car will be in Dallas long before I can pick it up.

If I knew when the car was going to leave the VDC, I'd go at least take a picture of it driving past on I-20...

Emailed my MA from MoD today. He said not to expect it to be ready until next week as well...but I'm crossing my fingers for Saturday.

 

Looks like it will end up being at least a week before I'm motoring. My MA at MoD said expected delivery to the dealership is the 9th, and they'll need at least a day to get my mini prepped. This last stint before delivery is probably the hardest! Hopefully the next week flies by...

 

Has anybody aboard the caribbean highway received their cars yet? If so what state(s) are you in?

 

My MA at Moritz just called to tell me my car just rolled off the truck at the dealership. He is having her waxed and prepped for me to pick up tomorrow morning at 10:30. I'm so excited!!!

Same here, RedRobin, but I'm having them Moritz tint my windows, so I scheduled pickup for Friday.

 

Yeah, they quoted me $250 for tint--said that was a discount off the normal $350 they charge, but found I could get it done at the same place they use for $150 with Mextroplex Mini membership. Decided I could take her over myself to save the $100! Have to say I did just drive by on my way home to see if I could catch a glimpse--must be getting fixed up inside somewhere. I'll just try to be patient until the morning.

 

Redrobin, that sounds like a heck of deal on the tinting. So which shop are you using? Have you decided how dark you're going?
