Contradictory info from ASK MINI?

Contradictory info from ASK MINI?

I have noticed this when checking some of the recent build week support groups, and now it has happened to me!

How many of you get different info from ASK MINI each time you call?

I spoke with them on 7/14, and was told that I was in production, and my car is scheduled for completion on 7/20.

I called again today for an update, and was told that I am scheduled for a week 31 build?! That's still 2 weeks away!!

I don't know if they use different computer systems? (I noticed the agent I spoke with today initially answered the phone with "BMW Customer Assistance"). Are some able to look at a different screen?

This latest agent didn't seem very experienced. She asked if I ordered any special features or option packages on my MINI and then proceeded to tell me that it can often take a month to complete production of special order cars?

Just venting, and trying to see if this happens often. Maybe I'll call back and see if I can get a more experienced agent, or a dedicated MINI agent...

Now that you mention it, one time I called and the agent answered "BMW Customer Assistance". It seemed a bit odd to me at the time, but he was able to give me updates just the same.

What does the automated line say?

The automated line says in production with completion on 7/20. That works for me.

When I called and spoke with a representative earlier, they had queue calls, and I was on hold for about a minute... I think when all MINI reps are on calls, the overflow goes to BMW reps, and they may not have the same computer system, and less experience with status codes, etc...

That would explain why some people seem to get conflicting info.
