ALL ABOARD FEDORA ( JULY 20 ?- GA AUG 5)
WOW! thanks for the update.... i need to make plans to pick up the MINI .... i won't be in country til the 12th.. i hope they can hold it at the distribution center that long... i am thinking about taking the train up to brunswick from west palm beach... make a trip out of it....
for all you people getting off in NY, our ship has come in!!!http://aisserver.yachtmarine.com/US-NEWYORKHARBOR.html
though I'm not sure exactly when it arrived, it is there and moored as we speak:D

You passed the next milestone! Just to give you a frame of reference, my MINI was on the FIGARO, which docked there last Saturday 7/26. Apparently there was (hopefully done) a backload of cars to process at the VDC. My MA believes the car will arrive in Annapolis, MD this coming Saturday. So I will probably get to see him next week! So I think that instead of 2 days, the VDC might be taking a couple extra days. Good luck and happy motoring!
Was talking to my wife when she got home telling her about the ship. She said one of her coworkers has one that was offloaded in Brunswich a couple of weeks ago and is still waiting for it to get here. That doesn't sound good.

I got to see my friends new Mini yesterday. He asked me if I would like to take it for a spin (with a smirk) because he knew how long I have been waiting for mine. I drove it a couple of times around the block and it only made things worse. Now I know how my bestfriend felt when he ordered his Z06 last year. We even drove to Kentucky to pick it up. We also got a tour of the factory. It was pretty cool. Chevy has a $400 option to pick up your car at the Corvette museum and get a tour of the plant. Too bad we cant do the same.
Hang in there guys and gals....we are almost there.

For you future motorers waiting for your MINI to make landfall in Brunswick, here's an update:
Originally, ETA for Brunswick was 8/5, with it departing the same day... my guess is that this means an ETA in the morning hours.
Just today the departure date from Brunswick has changed to 8/6, which I'll guess means an afternoon or evening ETA on 8/5.
I guess it is wishful thinking that my MINI could be delivered to the dealer by the end of the week, so I could take ownership this weekend.

hoping to pick up the MINI on my way through Ga.... i think a lot of pieces have to fall in place.. Xfingers.. will be returning on leave from overseas... may save an extra trip from fla.. i am still not sure about the whole process...just show up at the import broker with some paperwork and they retrieve your car?
My Mini was turned over for pickup by the carry for delivery to my dealership yesterday. Don't know when it'll start the trip from Brunswich to Palm Harbor
Florida. They said it could be here this morning or a couple of days from now. Lets hope for this morning.

Yee Haaaa Oliver has arrived. Called my dealer about noon and they said he was in. Got off early from work and met our new little boy. All I can say at this point is, for all of you still waiting, be patient. It's worth the wait. You'll quickly forget the wait.
Now tomorrow some serious motoring.
