Here we go! The Independence II just sailed into port this morning. I've got screenshots of her passing the webcam heading into port below. I know my car, Maggie Mae, is boarding, who will she be riding over with??

The Independence II leaves Southhampton July 5, 2008, docks at NYC July 14, Charleston SC July 19 and Brunswick July 21.

 

 

We are on it too. Look for the Nightfire Red Clubman with silver bonnet stripes! We are getting off in NY on the 14th. We are exp. sailors so here are some nautical terms to get your sealegs (wheels) in shape!

Port - Left side of boat
Starboard - Right side of boat
Centerline - Middle of the boat
Bow - Front of the boat
Aft - Rear of the boat

And if the wind is blowing left to right puke off the Starboard side

 

Wondering if that list is guaranteed to be comprehensive; and where it comes from? My vehicle is stated to be on this ship according to WW, but VIN is not in this list. It was received @ the port of the 3rd, so should have been able to be loaded... I imagine.

 

That is not all of the VIN's, on WW website there are about 265 cars / VIN's listed. I would imagine that is just one of 15 pages.

Anybody know how long after arrival in NY that I would take delivery?

This is the website my husband is using for the Independence II. Its from the thread about tracking your Mini. The list of VINs was from 830am today. It has since updated, and now you can see where it has changed from "recd at terminal" to "loaded on vessel." The list of VINs is 50qty, that was listed this AM that I copied above. Please do go to the website and see if your VIN is now listed. I will look this afternoon and edit the list above to any other VINs I see loaded on vessel. Its possible there are many more booking numbers, I only pulled the one that had my VIN listed. That is the booking number you see below. When you pull up your VIN, you will find a booking number, use that for the website below. First time for us to track shipping cargo, so we apologize for the confusion!

Enter your booking number (mine is GBSOU649746) hit track and it will come up with a list of 10pgs but if you click on printer friendly, it shows the entire list 0f 50 VINs together.

Searching for my VIN didn't show me beyond "arrived @ the terminal". You can set your mind @ ease if you follow Calicoskies's most recent direction... be sure to click the "Printer Friendly" link and just search for you VIN in the web browser page. That will be your definitive answer. I would 'expect' it to have sailed by this time as it's now the 6th there.

 

Thanks! When I do the "printer friendly" it shows about 300 VIN'S.
Some are showing as loaded and some as received at terminal. Mine still shows recvd at terminal.
Schedule now shows sailing date as July 6th so hopefully manifest just isn't updated yet. I am driving borrowed car currently and may have to give it back soon. If Mini hasn't arrived I may have rent car. The prices are crazy!
I hope I don't have to go that route.

 

I just called 800 #. It is now showing "Production complete waiting ot be released to carrier"??????
Yesterday it was showing "In Transit, call MA for more tracking info".
Now I am worried that I'm not on board....

 

Ship left port about a hour or so ago, 9:30pm et. I think I saw it on the web camera but it was awfully dark!

 

This is crazy...WW site still shows me as recvd at terminal with Independence booking #. 800 number is now saying in transit.
I think it missed the boat

 

I know how you feel MiniO! Mine has been at the dock since the June 27th and still shows to be waiting on a carrier. Not sure at all what is going on.

There have been a couple of boats. The only hope I have is that it is on a K-Line or maybe it is just not showing up on WW shipping. I am hoping it will show up in the states this week.

Good luck and hang in there MiniO! It is good to know you at least have been booked on a ship. As for me STILL shows I am waiting for a vessel! I think my mini went on a tour of the UK without me!

 

Hi shipmates!

Our Clubman was bumped up a full month, and is now on the Independence II. Ship WX shows the ship well into the Atlantic, so it is on its way. Ther is a Hurricane in the Atlantic "Burtha" hope they gave our Mini's Seasick pills.
