Hi everyone!

Long time lurker, first time poster! I am soon to be a Pepper White/Black Clubman S owner and after weeks of his status being "on order", I checked today and was shocked to see the status changed to "in production". My MA told me that I shouldn't expect production to start until mid-July, so this was a great surprise.

This is where it gets a little strange....I called Ask Mini and got the automated assistance that it said completion is expected to be....July 1st??? Wow...is that possible?? This just seems super fast since I just ordered June 3rd. I plan to call again tomorrow to confirm, but will be crazy excited if that is the case!

Im a newbie too. I ordered my MINI on 5/30 and after talking to my MA I should expect delivery approx. 7/10 to 7/15. I am working with Drew at North Scottsdale MINI.

I knew that production went pretty quick once they started, but I guess I was just surprised based on the info I got from my MA. I am working with Drew also!

 

Woohoo! Congrats; do keep us updated on your production time. As you no doubt seen, there's alot of MINIs here in town.

What ship were you on?

 

Drew's the best. He worked with me for 2 years while on the wait list for the Clubman--Jan 4, 2006 deposit, Dec. 7, 2007 order, Jan. 10 build date, and Feb. 25, 2008 delivery. I wrote about him in an article for BMW Roundel. Nice guy.

 

that sounds about right. its a week or two of "on order", then within the next few days your car is done. Now comes the LONG wait, the trip over here on a ship which takes about 2 weeks! That is the killer, knowing that your car is ready to drive, but its floating in shark infested waters ... I am (hopefully) picking mine up today/tomorrow from Scottsdale also.

Ringer. How long was it from the time yours hit the port to now?

 

mine came into port the evening of the 26th. Was suppose to be at the dealer today, but looks like will be tomorrow..

 

Wow. That is alot quicker than I thought.

 

I just called again today and they told me that my car is in the paint shop. So, probably won't be completed tomorrow, but over the next few days. He didn't tell me what the ship it would be on though---maybe they don't know that yet? I will be looking for you out on the road soon---haven't seen one Clubman yet out "in the wild".

 

Welcome as well. The shipping wait is the worst. Just find a thread titled with the ship your on. That helped me out a LOT

 

Congrats everyone. Hope everybody's new rides arrive safe. It's good to see more Arizonians here on NAM. I'll keep a lookout for you.

BTW: Drew was my MA also, answered every question I had.

I thought I'd check in here as well. My Clubman is on the Isolde scheduled to arrive at the Port Huemenep(sp?) 7/29/08. Any idea how long a wait from then until it arrives at Scottsdale MINI. I'd like to plan a long weekend up to the North Rim if I can pick it up by 8/8/08

I also order a PW Clubbie S on June 3rd from N Scottsdale dealer, working with Dave, my car is on the "Isolde" and should arrive in Port Hueneme Port on August 2. I've got my fingers crossed.
I've yet to see a Clubman on the streets/freeways of the Phoenix area.

 

Just saw markmaxwell post about the Isolde arriving on the 29th of July, hey that beats Aug 2!!!!!!!!

 

We have a couple Clubman in the DMC. A PW/B and a HC/B are some recent additions. Both look beautiful!

 

Check out the thread "ALL ABOARD THE ISOLDE" in the first gear forum for more info on the Isolde's schedule. She is supposed to enter the Panama cannal around 7/21/08
