I purchased a "previously loved" '06 MCS about 6 weeks ago. Its HB/W Cold weather/Sport/Premium, Xenon, Front Fogs, H-K sound. Its a "mountain shredder". That's not a name just what it does. I commute 100 mi/day over a mountain (over the mtn. twice). I love this car! I hope I got all the car info right. Remember, I'm new at this.

I have a few questions for anyone that would like to help:

1. Is there a national Mini Owners Club? I've belonged to the Volvo Owners Club of America (VOCA) for years and was wondering about the Minis.

2. What's the deal with the "car color specific" clubs? How do you join?

3. I live in an area where there is very little radio reception. But, I must say my Mini has the worst reception of any vehicle I've had. Its generally great when I get away from here, but very poor here. Can anyone recommend a good "stubby" antenna at a reasonable price?

That's enough questions for now. I know there will be more later.

For the Colour Clubs on NAM, go to the Forums page and scroll down to MINIS in General, then click on the second topic box down called General MINI Talk. Scroll through these pages to see the Club that matches your MINI. They all say their colours, like Chili Red Owners Club. To join you simply respond to the thread and say you'd like to join.

Not sure about a national organization but you can register in the Owner's Lounge of www.MINIUSA.com and also sign up to receive email announcements.

There are state clubs too which are listed further down the Forums page.

And there could be local clubs. And quite a few dealerships stage their own events.

I can't help you about the antenna, I only play CDs in my MINI.
