We ordered May 31, 08. MA told us to give it 3-4wks and we would get an email with the production #. She didn't tell us what week we are. Can anyone offer an educated guess as to which prod week orders taken last week would be? She told us delivery would be 1st half of Sept.

You can call 1-800-AskMini for info and to get your Production week but it might be abit early yet. Once you have the production # or VIN you can log into the Owners Lounge to track your Minis progress.

 

Each dealer has a certain number of slots in the factory each week. They can fill them with your order or dealer car orders (the ones that go on their lots). So your production week will depend on your dealer. They may be willing to pull one of their orders for next week and replace it with yours, but don't count on it. Your overall delivery time will depend on your location, which is?

Thanks, Bella. I did know about the Owners Lounge but its too early for me to get in there. I'm not being very patient!

I didn't forget Lucy, its just that I'm a big Lucille Ball fan and when I think Lucy in my head, Ms. Ball comes to mind before Ms. In The Sky With Diamonds. I would need a red car or something bright to name Lucy.

I think I'm almost settled on Maggie Mae.

Zoned: I did read that sticky, great info...I just don't have the numbers to get started. I'm located in NC.

 

You may be on a waiting list at the dealer. They took your info, but they don't have any available allocation to really order it yet.

 

With a mid-sept. arrival date, my guess would be roughly a week 28-30 production week and depending what side of the country you reside in. I waited two months for a production number.
