Just want to say hi and thanks for all the great postings at NAM. I have learned a ton. Picked out a sparkling silver clubman S on Mothers Day. (What a nice mothers day gift that made). We were number 14 on the waiting list. Just stopped by the Dealer and saw that we moved up to number 4. Very exciting!!!! Now it is time to get serious about all the options and I am wondering if lounge leather is worth the extra expense? I appreciate any input you have.

Hello! If you haven't yet, you should join up over at PSMini.org too.

We went back and forth over the leather and eventually decided for it- I'm glad we did and we love it, but not everybody feels the same way. If you can find one to sit in it'd be worth it. The imitation leather is supposed to be pretty good too, so might be a good idea to compare them.

Chances are there'll be a coffee meet nearby in the next couple weeks and you'd be able to find someone that's got it. Come and say hello!

Being #4 is pretty exciting, I was #9 on the list, but as of last week I am now holding in my possession a production #. Did you go through NW MINI?

Yes, I did. My MA is Michael. How exciting to have a production number. I am just happy to have moved up on the list. Did they say how long your clubman will be on the boat?

Aloha and welcome to NAM.

How exciting, a new clubman.

Lounge leather? Sure, which color?
If you're the type to keep your car for a long time like 10 years then
getting good quality leather is nice.

My lapis leather is now 6 years old and going strong.
You do have to condition and treat leather on a regular basis to make it last so not as easy care but I think it's worth the effort.

Anyone that sees the leather interior will be jealous, it's as nice as many very expensive european cars AND made just for your MINI.

From what I heard, after production roughly 5-6 weeks on the boat. Week 28 is still a month away before production/completion. We used Aaron at NW MINI - great dealership - good service - just a long wait.

I am still going back and forth on the leather option. Love the redwood red, but not availible for the clubman. Just not sure if the interior will be to dark if I go with black leather and the anthracite headliner. Ours will be Clubman S with SS/B, manual/ Premium and convenience package.

I love the leather and think it would really make the Clubman. Of course if cost is a consideration there are a lot of nice less expensive alternatives from Mini that look great too. Oh, and welcome and congratulations. Hope to see you on the PSMini.org forums too. Fun club and lots of stuff going on with very helpful group of enthusiasts!

I went back and forth in regards to the leather, but I did not want to go over $30000, I ended up at $29650, and still need to add tint and the invisi-shield. The leather is a great looking addition - but I am not big on the leather upkeep so went cloth instead.

Can't tell how happy I am to be a part of all this. When I see a Mini on the street, I want to wave, but considering that I am still driving a Suburban it may look silly. I think that I have decided on the black lounge leather, now choosing the trim is a whole other question. I am thinking piano black. Still afraid that everything in black may make the interior super dark. Do any of you have that combo? If you do, could you please post some pictures or send me a link that does? Thanks!!!

I feel your pain. I'm driving an Audi S6, and I get no love from the MINI crew. Keep the faith!

Good to see so many friends waiting for MINI's in the Northwest. I am still driving my gas guzzlers - 08 Suburban and 06 Silverardo Crew Cab = 16.3 mpg's
