Hello from an Un-Newbie!

To say I'm new with our funny little cars would be a mis-statement (which would make me a politician). To prevent any thoughts that I might be involved in politics, here's a (somewhat) full disclosure - I've been lurking!

Actually my wife's been driving a MINI for about 18 months now and is currently driving her second. Our first MINI gave her life to protect my wife in an accident and did it so well that we bought our second. I've lurked on these pages to find answers to things that I can't find on our local Dallas/Fort Worth club - Metroplex Mini. Over there, we can be found as Ken&Lori.

Anyway, I'm finally getting around to actually getting an ID here on NAM and officially becoming a part of this group. And part of the drive to get this done is that I'm looking (OK, I'm done just 'looking') over the configurations for my own MCS BRG that will be ordered in the coming few weeks (OK, days).

Donna,
I see you used to live in Leesburg VA. We are planning to spend our vacation up in that area. We were planning to go to the GWR 500 attempt, but since they moved it again, that's off. So instead we are just going motoring on our own up to DC and back again. Since you used to live in the area, know of any good motoring there? We're thinking of going to DC from Dallas via a slightly northern route and back via a more southern route, possibly spend time driving NC.

Oh my - SO many great roads back in that area. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a must....

Sounds like a fun, fantastic trip. Have a great time....
