new mini with picture

Just got ours 10 days ago. It's better than I thought it would be! We don't have a name for it yet. I don't like calling it a mini. My 5 year old nephew said to call it "car-ee".

We have the blue tooth option. I was in the garage today and the phone started ringing (it was in my pocket) and I had to get in the car to answer it with the steering wheel button.

When I start from a stop sign, I push a bit on the gas and it doesn't start going right away, it sort of pauses until I push far enough down, then it jumps in and starts going. Is this the turbo lag I've read about here at NAM?

I've been reading through NAM a lot. It's like a never ending book of information. I'm endlessly interested in this car.

Welcome to NAM from central Georgia. I have an 06MCS, so I can't tell you anything about the turbo lag. You have a great looking car and I'm sure you'll find fun and adventure every time you take it out. Enjoy and happy motoring!!

Welcome and great looking MCS. Yes it could be the turbo lag or the drive by wire not responding as quickly as it should. It takes a little time to get us to. Then you will be driving it like you have owned it for years.

Very nice, great intro picture.

I have a 07 MCSa, the lag never has bothered me, but I have noticed a little initial lack of response. Now I leave the stop light/sign a with a little more gusto.

I notice it more when in normal D mode. Not when I'm in DS. When I putter around in town or stop and go, I use D mode.

I do use the paddles, very rarely do I use the shift lever for shifting manually.

Enjoy, you will get used to it.

Great pics...

Only problem , they make me a bit more impatient for mine.
(Somewhere off the coast of Nova Scotia right now, I'm guessing.)

More pics of the interior would be appreciated. Any new views of the
Pacific Blue/Piano Black combo might help me get thru the next couple
of weeks waiting <g>.

I had planned to go with similar stripes after market... but am getting
the regular factory bonnet stripes instead. Tried to have them left
off my order, but the dealer didn't catch it in time to have them removed.

Good luck getting thru the breakin , if you still have many miles left to go.
Glad to see another new Lightning Blue out in the world.

one question, the specs for the car. Isnt the max torque reached at 1600rpm? therefore you get alot of power at the low end right? i dont think its the turbo and iunno about throttle by wire, i always hated that anyways. Im old school.
