I just did a search on Sailwx.info for the TRIANON, actually I did it by Country (Norway)
"Enter a ship's name, or a fragment of the name. There's no need for any wild card characters. This database contains only a small fraction of the ships worldwide, those that participate in the World Meteorological Organization's program of voluntary at-sea weather reporting. The database also contains vessels with US radio licenses. For the most part military vessels are excluded, but occasionally a Coast Guard ship will make a report.
The US Coast Guard maintains another database of ship names, callsigns, and inspection reports. The French Marine Meteorological Center maintains a database of VOS reporting vessels. If you can't find a ship's callsign in our database, try one of theirs.
If a ship is listed but has no last reported time or position, it means that ship has never submitted a weather report."
I did not see the TRIANON listed as one that reports to this site.
We may be out of luck as far as tracking goes unless someone else has another idea.

Thanks for posting. Although I wonder why its anchored. That also means that the AIS site is correct as well. Trianon has been in that position since 24 hours after it left port.

What position Ivygirl702? If you are looking at the AIS site, then it shows that the TRIANON @ 17:59:04 on 3/14, which is after it left Southampton, but does not report to the Sailwx site, see previous post. The Vesseltracker site shows the Anchor only as a reference to the ship. And it does not update all that frequently either, unless you sign up for a Free 2 Week Subscription, which will not help since it will be longer than 2 Weeks before the TRIANON docks anywhere. If you are on the East Coast then you may want to sign up for the 2 Week Subscription as the TRIANON is supposed to dock in NY on 21/03/08.

Good Luck!!

When I looked at the vessel tracking website and saw the anchor, I assumed that the icon [plus the words above it that said "delayed position of the Trianon"] meant that it was anchored.

I have just figured out that the AIS site that I had doesn't seem to cover all of the oceans. Clicking on the link that I had for it, showed the Trianon in the same position. Again, I thought it was anchored.

Apparentaly, I'm just a little eager. And paranoid!

Ivygirl702...the only site that I found that was helpful for a bit was VesselTracker, but that site is saying that the TRIANON is out of its reporting area...what ever that means. The TRIANON is not a vessel that reports to the Voluntary Reporting site like Sailwx, I've found that out. I think sad to say that we will just have to keep an eye on the WW site and see if we can catch a glimpse of her as she scurries through the Panama Canal on what is supposed to be Friday, 21/03/08. I know that doesn't help but I've found no other options in the way of tracking her. Sorry!! Maybe someone else has found another way.

Thanks for your info RJK, I appreciate it! Maybe it's better for me that we can't track the Trianon.... I could spend all day doing it!

Guess that answers that. I was going to track Molly with you, but also could not get anywhere tracking the Trianon. Good to know it'll hit the Canal around the 21st. A long wait on the shipping end of things.

Been surfing online for MINI stuff too much lately. I think I need OCD therapy ... Wait! I take that back. I need MINI therapy!

Just checked the WW site, the TRIANON is not scheduled to arrive in NY until 23/03/08 and through the Panamal Canal on 29/03/08, then on to Port Hueneme, CA 06/04/08. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but thought you'd want to know.

I checked the WW site again and the TRIANON has been delayed. Arriving in Port Hueneme on 07/03/08 NOT 06/03/08!
Again sorry to be the bearer of MORE bad news!!

lol... so did I (well, from 10 on), which is why it is so shocking that I'm back! At least down here in Sierra Vista, I won't have the horrendous heat of most of the rest of the state and won't be cooked inside my MINI!

(Though I am looking at a million different sunshades so that the little guy won't get sunburned from the moonroof! hehhe)

RJK -- I'm starting to loathe your posts in this thread!! At least I know we are in this together... How long will it take to get Molly up to you in WA from the Port?

Thanks for the update.

Sorry Ivygirl702!! It is a BUMMER to me too! I was hoping for a 11th to 14th to take delivery, that way I can have a 3 Day Weekend!!
Not sure if it will happen. I'm guesstamating that Molly will arrive at the Dealer on/or about April 10th, giving her 3 days travel time by Covered Wagon. So the 11th is probably not a realistic Delivery Date, but you can be sure that I(we) will be visiting Molly once she arrives at the Dealer (Rasmussen MINI). We both work in Portland, my husband works about 2 miles from the dealer, so a quick stop at the Dealership when Molly arrives is already on the Calendar!! (With Camera in Hand)

The WW website says the Trianon should be getting into NY sometime today!! Maybe our Mini's will have an Easter egg hunt while they're there.

Hope everyone enjoys THIS post...the TRIANON according to the WW Site, yes it can be wrong sometimes, but only on arrivals I think. The WW Site says that the TRIANON has left New York headed back out to sea and through the Panama Canal on the 29th.
Hope everyone is enjoying the ride...Fantastic Food...Good Drinks...and GREAT Company!!!

Sure Carolina it is PanCanal.com. Have you asked your MA about a Delivery Date yet?? Mine says April 15 - 20!! I would prefer it SOONER like the 14th, but the way things are looking I'm beginning to think the 18th will be a good day to take the day off of work, take delivery and have the WHOLE WEEKEND TO PLAY!!!
Very COOL Sig...BTW!!!
