My MINI re-order...

... and why Crown Mini in Richmond VA rocks.

Ordered my "first" mini back in Feb, watched it progress online ... then realized that the Xenon headlamps had been left off the order.

Got in touch with my MA to verify, and yep they got missed. My fault really. I was offered the option to re-order with no penalty other than another long wait.

Took 'em up on it and verified the order tonight. I am very impressed -- this was super-easy, no hassles, very matter of fact. Thanks Steve !

Guess this makes me a repeat customer.

A re-order would mean that you get a new production number, and your original order would just go to another customer. You can make all the changes you want to your car up until it's scheduled for production, which usually occurs one or two day before they start building the car. If you want to make a major change after it's on the assembly line, that will require a re-order with a new production number, and there should never be a financial penalty.

I'm also dealing with Steve at Crown Mini in Richmond. I think I got them at a bad time because the girl I was initially dealing with resigned the day they were set to order my Clubman. My Clubman just entered production today.

The first MINI I bought in '06 was done entirely through emails and a fax. Best car buying experience I've ever had.
