Replacing run-flats

I am considering replacing the Pirelli run-flats on My Mini Cooper S with regular tires..

Also I am being told that even tho' we have sent a man to the moon, a dented rim
cannot be straightened...Any advice???

And who's telling you it cannot be straightened? A wheel guy or Mini?

I replaced my runflats, carry a compressor, a plug kit and a cont. of SLIME...
I don't regret it for a minute.

FWIW, you can probably buy a used Slite for what it would cost to straighten the wheel - YMMV of course.
