MINI Names.../

Everyone seems to come up with great and fitting names for their Mini's, even before they've seen them for the first time! Mine will be here in a week or two and i've yet to find a suitable name.
Dark Silver w/ black bonnet stripes and roof, driving lamps...

Any suggestions?

The Chili Red Clubman I ordered was going to be called Gordon. However, my wife and I abandoned that order and went with Hot Chocolate instead. She hasn't come up with a name for the new one yet. She said she has to meet him first. I always referred to my Pepper White as Sooper, since that's what we had on the plate. We're moving the plate over to the Clubman, so it might just be Sooper (too).

I don't have a name for mine, yet, either. Still not sure whether to go with a male or female name. I'd like something fun and quirky ...

Maryland ... Yurtle (as in the turtle from Dr. Seuss; thinking of the Maryland Terrapins)? Maybe a crab theme if you're close to the coast?

Like Mini*in*Flux stated, hopefully, it will just come to us in a moment of inspiration (or insanity) ...

I think i'm liking Emma these days...

My car arrived at the dealership today!!! =D I was hoping for a pickup on this Saturday - but they still have to install my driving lamps so there is only a slim chance that Emma will be ready on Saturday. Looks like i may have to wait until Tues or Wed of next week to pick her up. =( **disappointed**

Ok, so i think i've settled on a name almost. I'll make the final decision once i pick her up.

NOW - for the next decision. I'm trying to decide on my Motoring ID through the mini website. I'm down to one of these two: LUCK219 or ZIP219 (2/19 being the day my car was born). Someone pick one! =D

I have a name picked out for my MINI already, or next car if it would happen to be something other than a MINI, but I cant tell you cause its a secret until I get it. My friend did name my current car Hitlereta though, I dont brag about that too much but some how the name stuck no matter what I did to get people to stop calling her that.

My first MINI was named her Bonnie. The name came from Napoleon Bonaparte - short in size but feisty. My wife named her and it worked well.

Kirky's "real" name is Hopkirk but, I called her Kirky once during dinner with some friends the evening I picked her up and it stuck. The other option was Lola (as in Run Lola Run).

My first Mini in Italy was named "Gigette" - no clue why, it just fit.

then when i was pondering the clubman, it was going to be a boy so I was trying to find gothy quirky names and found Wynston...but fiance' said OH Wendesday like Wednesday Addams and it was decided

I think "Honey Rider" has won out over "Sugar Magnolia." Our original field of candidates was about ten potential names. Honey Rider is color reminiscent of not only upholstery (malt brown) and Sparkling Silver (aka champagne) but the origin is the Ian Fleming (British) character in James Bond Dr. No named Honey Rider, played by Ursula Andress, who is Swiss (almost German)

The virtues of "Sugar Magnolia", a Grateful Dead song, are obvious for a convertible:

She's got every thing delightful, she's got everything I need...

Well, she can dance a cajun rhythm, jump like a ****** in four wheel drive.
Shes a summer love for spring, fall and winter. she can make happy any man alive.

Sugar magnolia, ringing that bluebell, caught up in sunlight, come on out singing

I'll walk you in the sunshine, come on honey, come along with me.

Shes got everything delightful, shes got everything I need,
A breeze in the pines and the sun and bright moonlight, lazing in the sunshine yes
Indeed.

Sometimes when the cuckoos crying, when the moon is half way down,
Sometimes when the night is dying, I take me out and I wander around, I wander
round.

Hmm...maybe I haven't quite decided
