Hello
Hello
I imagine I am asking the obvious question, but as I prepare to pull the trigger this weekend on a new clubman at a virginia dealership this weekend can I expect any wiggle room on the price ? I have read best folks are getting is about 500 off at best. what should I ask for that they might kick in ? thanks for any tip I should know about before going in.
I wouldn't even bother to ask to pay less than MSRP, but it doesn't hurt to ask for something like free floor mats. When it comes to financing time, they might be able to compete a bit on the rate if you have real good credit, or maybe they'll throw something extra in if you use MINI financing. But don't expect much if anything or you'll be disappointed.
If you are planning to get one or more of the packages, maybe spec your car without the packages... maybe a few of the a la carte features that might come in a package(s) that you want... then see if the MA recommends upgrading to the package(s)... if so, see if they'll knock off a few hundred from the package. If so, great... if not, you can then "decide" to get the package anyway... nothing ventured, nothing gained...
Play 'em at their game... never show your hand upfront.
Don't order any of the dealer accessories... save those for negotiations...

Hello! I ordered my mini on 2/9/08 and am still waiting, although it's getting pretty close! I wasn't able to budge much on the overall price but i was able to get free floor mats with my car. I went to Mini of Sterling in VA.
