New MC owner

Hello fellow Mini owner's.

My name is Mike and I'm from Ontario Canada. My wife and I just traded in her 2006 Honda Civic Si for a 2007 Mini Cooper with the Premium and Sport packages. It is Lightning Blue with the white roof/mirrors. She has wanted one since they came out, so as an early Valenties Day gift, we went to our local Mini dealer and worked out a trade in for her Si.

We choose an 07 over an 08 simply because of the lower interest rates and a Cooper instead of an S because after driving both, she didn't feel the need for the extra power the turbo offered. Besides, we still have my 07 Si for thrills.

Now we just have to wait a week or two becuase the car is being shipped from British Columbia to Ontario. Apparently, there are very few 6 speed Cooper's with both option package's left here in Ontario.

Thanks everyone. This forum is great. There is a TON of useful info here. I'm coming from the Honda community and I'm not used to some of the smaller Mini forums I've found.

Earlier, I found a thread dedicated to Lightning Blue Mini's, but I can't seem to find it now. Any help?

Welcome and congrats....Coopers may not have that extra power, but they handle just as superbly as any other MINI and are far more fuel efficient than I thought possible. Great car!!!
