My first new car ever
My first new car ever
Well I'm officially dropping the clutch and popping into first gear. I bought my first new car ever- a 2007 Mini S. I signed my life away on the December 26, 2007, and picked it up the following day after having an iPod connection and the rear bumper protector installed.
There was only one factory option on the car: the leather steering wheel, which was nice because I couldn't really afford any other options.
I was trying to think of a name for my car because she is my first. I’m a linux fan, and I decided to name her after this little cute, but omnipotent, penguin I know. So in honor of that penguin, I’ve decided to call her Tux.
Here is a pic of me and Tux at the dealership and some at my parents' place:

Here are some shots of my Mini and my sister's cat, Mr. Bill. I should inform everyone that I'm not a cat person. I feel cat's are bromides, just a step above a parasite, but I did think what my sister's cat did was cute.
When I got back this afternoon the Mr. Bill immediately came up to the car and started circling it looking up at it, sizing it up. After he rounded the Mini, he started brushing up against the front end as if it were brushing up against my leg seeking that special love and attention.

Unfortunately Tux is no longer shiny white. On my drive back to West Virginia yesterday she got dirty, very dirty. It rained for most of the drive, and the salt from the Ohio roads stuck to her. Poor Tux.

Well, you've got a beautiful car and welcome to the Cult! Actually, I see the multifunction steering wheel and are those leatherette seats or leather? THey look fantastic and the only thing missing are black stripes. Enjoy the ride!
Cute comment maubs. Welcome to the MINI community, dyna-girl! Mr. Bill was attracted to Tux because they match! Great pix.....happy motoring!

If this is your first new car then you are doing well and making good choices (you came to NAM, too). Tux looks great and I know you're going to have a lot of fun with him (?).
...with her.
Congrats on your new ride!! I'm sure you and Tux will bond in no time and find fun and adventure at every turn. My cat "Boots" asked what a parasite was and I lied and said it was a loving and true friend.
