I'd love to be able to get a car with everything... and if I could do that, I'd get the sport suspension. But, I'm trying to cut out everything I can (including NAV ), and I don't feel that the sport suspension is a must-have for me.

I think I have my final configuration (but I'm sure I'll change something):
Cooper
Manual
Lightning Blue/White
Sport Stripes
DSC
White Turn Signals
Xenons
Front/Rear Fog Lights
Sport Seats - still haven't decided between cloth and leatherette
Anthracite Headliner
MFSW
Hi-Fi stereo
Bluetooth/Ipod

It comes in at just under $22,500 which is do-able for me. I'd love to add NAV, but $25,000 is going to be harder. And if I added everything I wanted, I'd be looking at a $30,000 car... heh. A NAV-less MC is better than no MC at all!

Now there is just waiting.

Hey Robin, you could save a little more money by not getting the DSC. I was going to get that as well, but the dealership told me I would only need it if I planned on taking turns around the corner at 80 plus speeds. He told me that the car is built extremely well and can handle quite a bit. So, get the nav system instead because it sounds like you would really use that. Or buy a portable nav system that you can take with you.
Also, do you live where it gets really cold or hot? If so, the choice of seat covering would be better in leather or cloth. I have found, unless it has been improved, that leatherett in the summer can really burn your legs and stays colder longer in the winter.
I wish you all the best in your decision making, I know, I've been there. You always wonder what if.......
Good luck, Robin Kathy

I want the nav because it integrates with the whole system and looks cool. And because it directs you around traffic. Which is why I'm willing to let it go. It's just not worth the price.

As far as DSC... I've heard you don't need it until you really need it. People drive stupid in this city all the time, and I've had to swerve out of their way more than once. DSC would give me the peace of mind that my car is doing its very best to help me safe.

I might stop by the dealership today to talk about some things with my MA and maybe listen to the hi-fi system. I ran the numbers last night, and with $22,500, I have a down payment I'm comfortable with ready. If I bump it up any higher, I'm going to have to wait until I can pay that much more. And that car up there has everything I'm not willing to negotiate on, plus a little more. I don't think I'll be missing anything. I can't order until I see my new paycheck and make sure it's as much as I think it will be, but other than that, I'm ready to go.
