New Member from the Heart O' Texas

Hey ya'll, I've been reading this forum for a while and I finally registered last night! I'm from deep in the Heart o' Texas (Waco, to be exact), and I just ordered my MINI this past Saturday. I can't wait til it comes. Kinda blows though that I have to wait. I wrecked my other car on Tuesday (wasn't my fault) and was told today that it won't be ready to drive until the end of January. My MINI is estimated to come in the beginning of February. So not only am I MINI-less, I'm completely car-less for four weeks .

Hey there! Sorry to hear about your wreck but this will all be behind you in no time and you will be a happy motorer! We have a great club down this way and the MINI group in Austin participates as well. Make sure to check us out

thats for the STMC (South Texas MINI Club)
So what are your specs for your order? Our 2nd MINI is still sitting at the Port in England so we are hoping to take delivery mid January at this point.

It's an Astro Black non-S with white roof and bonnet stripes. I added chrome mirror caps, the sports package, front and rear fog lamps, auto trans., multifunction wheel, and will be adding a center console once it comes in (personally thought the stock console wasn't wide enough).

Thanks for pointing me to the STMC site. It sounds really cool, but do you do any thing close to Central Texas? I work as well as go to college, so I don't know if I'd have time to make trips to SA.

I also heard of some MINI drive that ends in Waco happening in a week or so. Are ya'll involved in that?

There has been talk of it but not sure if that is still on or not. I wont be able to attend but keep an eye on the board under MINI Happenings. Most all of the runs and events are on the weekends and they try to keep them to even the working can make them. They also have a Tea run in January.
