New in the club

Hi, I just bought my new MCS-07 last week and I am really enjoying it. I got LiB w/black top, premium pkg, DSC, winter pkg.
This car is amazingly fun fun fun to drive. I really enjoy it yesterday when I drove it in the snow around Boston. I am thinking of buying winter tire (15 inches) to get better grip. Any suggestions?

You must be looking into wheels and tires for winter use .Try Bridgestone Blizzack or Michelin x-ice , both very good for winter bad weather .

Thanks for the suggestions. I currently use conti all weather run flat tires (16 inches) but find it hard on bumpy road. I will buy 15 inches winter for the coming winter. I love my car!!!

Hiya and welcome to the MINI world! Definitely get rid of those run flats at least for winter - you'll be much happier and the drive will be quite a change.

I recommend buying the Bridgestone Blizzak tires as well. I bought mine from the Tire Rack, in addition to four 15" black steel wheels.

They came installed on the wheels, inflated, balanced, and literally ready-to-install. It couldn't get any easier then that!

The best part is, I save money each spring and fall, because I don't have to pay some tire shop to switch from summer to winter tires on my good alloy wheels. I have a dedicated winter steel wheel, (which I don't care if the salt corrodes), keeping my expensive summer alloys salt-free.

I do my own wheel/tire changes each spring and fall, and it is free labor!
