Through with Break In!!!

This is probably the world's record for the longest break-in on a MINI. Today, one month and one day after picking him up, Mr Beebe is officially broken in. Hooray!!! 1200 miles done and gone.

I only exceeded the recommended RPM's once or twice very briefly. ooops. To celebrate, we are going on a mini-MINI Halloween road trip.

We will be trying to learn how to use the mysterious and alluring steptronic transmission. And, hoping for fine weather, we will finally take some pictures . . .

Congrats and have fun. I'm half way there after two weeks and still getting in some spirited driving. BTW, I have accidentally exceeded 4500 rpm's by tapping the paddles in the wrong direction. I'm limiting myself to only using the "stick" for shifting in manual mode until I get used to those paddles - like when I can afford to shift in the "wrong" direction.

With the fires and smoke would seem like that could slow down the brake in.
I hope to re-schedule the spa day with Richard soon, but at the present Skeeter has 3,560 miles and not sure how that has happened.

Yep, the fires closed all of my closest "fun" roads last weekend. I was able to hit them this past Friday on the way home from work. Lots of burnt trees and brush right down to the roadside. Also, you would be amazed how close the fire got to houses and other buildings and were spared. I think it is a true testament to how great our firefighters are!
