TOWING A MINI

I have a 2006 MCS stick Convertible. I have rigged it up with the Blue Ox latest tow gear for a 40' deisel pusher.

I have read fro persons on this site that have towed a MCS stick with success. Can any of you tell me how far you have towed the MCS and if you have had ANY problems?

This is important to me, as I have invested $1500 in this project and still can't get my dealer to confirm or deny if there is an "organic" reason why the transmission can't take a tow. By the way, Mini America says "don't do it," but they cannot tell me why.

I am begging anyone who has towed one of these to let me know how long you have done it, any problems involved, any additions needed to tow the little beast, and any other information that might give me the courage to put it on the road this weekend.

I thank you!
