Hi
I'm new to the site... I have a 04 Mini --- and now 3 young kids. Was excited to hear that the new Clubman was coming as I wanted to upgrade for the extra space -- but it only has 2 seatbelts in the back. I know in Europe they will be offering 3 in the back. Does anyone know if when the Clubman comes out I can order in a European backseat? Or do I have to wait for the SAV to come out?

Any advice?

 

Are the three kids still in booster seats? I don't think that there is enough room across for three seats in the clubbie, no matter what seat bottom and back you have in there. My friend just had another child and she was shocked to find that her Grand Cherokee wouldn't fit three seats across...so she is shopping for something really huge! I told her to consider the new Town and Country...

 

The Mini is our second car... we already have a van. Kids are ages are 6, 3, and 15 months. You're likely right. I can get one booster and a car seat in the back now, so even if there was a extra seat belt there would be no room for the child or the carseat. Unless the Clubman is wider... but I don't think it is Guess I'm out of luck.

 

Clubman is only good for seating 4.

 

yep, super sad news to my wife and I as well because we were going to get one thinking that it would've been able to seat five. Were expecting our third child next year and are now forced to give up adding a clubman to our stable.
MINI will get a clue someday, so til then its e28 bimmers for us!
