I certainly have lurked long enough. After having to pass on the first gen several years ago thanks to the untimely death of our only car, my wife and I finally are in a position to buy a second gen MC as a second car. I'm especially happy to see that the CVT has gone and that the interior has improved greatly over the "Barbie dream car" interior of the first gen, as my wife likes to put it! No offense intended, of course.

Here's what we ordered from MINI of Sterling yesterday:
Lightning blue, w/white roof/mirrors/bonnet stripes
black leatherette/fine white silver interior
auto tranny (had to surrender to DC traffic on this one, sadly)
Cold weather and premium packages
DSC
front/rear fogs
auto-dimming mirror
sport seats

MoS wouldn't toss in floor mats for free, sadly. I was very happy with my MA, Ahmed Shaker. Only a brief delay while they moved a BMW X5 out of the building through the MINI side of the dealership.
