Production week changes?

I just called 866-ask-MINI this morning, and apparently my production week has changed from 40 to 39 (good news!). Does this happen often? Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
Jeanne

Having production weeks change is not all that uncommon, you were lucky and in not having it advanced by a week. Congrats and hope the wait passes fast for you.

For whatever its worth, not sure an earlier build date gets you on a boat any earlier! Mine completed early but waited a good while for its ride to NJ. According to the tracking record when it finally did ship, it shows my VIN was booked for its departure date 10 days before I even ordered my car!

I spent a lot of time angsting over ship schedules and trying to guess when mine would ship and it seems like that is something that might be pretermined.

Most the Mini's that ship on WW lines have booking dates weeks/months in advance. Skeeters booking date on Tarifa was 5/30 and he boarded 7/16. So having a production date changed to an earlier one does imrove your chances of a shorter wait time. Just depends on how smoothly things are going at the port. For the last couple of weeks things seem to be really confusing and unreliable at the port, Mini's needing to be re-scheduled to a differant ship date. Hopefully this will clear up and go back to being more "normal" shipping schedules.
