Hi Everyone! We have an 06 DS/W MCS, purchased in Oct of 05. It is primarily my car and I absolutely love it! Unfortuanately my warranty is almost up as I'm quickly approching 36,000 mi. and we are debating on purchasing the Extended Service coverage (6yr/100,00mi) offered by the dealership. I was quoted a price of $1795 by the local dealership, however, we will be moving in the next couple of months to the Boise, ID area where the nearest dealerships are Portland and Salt Lake.

I've read the thread on the Extended Warranty and tried a search for service in the Boise area but didn't have any luck there. My questions are, can any one recommend a good place for service in Boise or do I have to take the car to a dealership for service? From what I've read, the PDX dealership sounds like a good one but some place closer to home would be nicer. I appreciate any information you can pass along.

 

first make ABSOLUTELY SURE that your extended warranty is transferable to other dealers...

in other words, this is from Mini USA, not the dealer...

the other consideration besides distance is that $1800 covers a LOT of work.
