Hey Everyone

Hey guys,
Ive been browsing the forums for a while now, finally registered this week, and figured Id introduce myself since I ordered an 07 MCS today.
Since this is me introducing myself Ill tell a little about myself. Im almost 20, I live in Massachusetts, and I have no idea why I just bought another car.
I currently own two cars, a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS thats modified, but about to under go a motorswap, along with a 1993 Subaru Legacy Turbo. Im a huge Subaru fan, and I can you how to do just about anything to any of them.
Ive also been a Mini fan for a while, especially when they released the new one in 2002. I almost bought one two years ago when I thought my car was going to be totaled. What recently got me back into looking at Mini's was two issues. One being, Ive been doing a lot of driving for work, and soon Ill be commuting to school again, and both my other cars get horrible gas mileage. Second, when I do the motorswap on my 2000 Subaru, both that car and the 1993 Legacy will not be drivable until Im done, so I need a car to drive. Since I dont know how long it will take me to do all the work, I wanted a car that will be as much fun to drive as my others. I think the Mini fixes both those issues.
So thats my intro. Anything else you want to know, ask. You'll probably see me posting every now and then, mostly in the 2nd Gen forum.

Dan

Hi Dan, and welcome! Sounds like you got quite a lot going on for a 19 year old! There seem to be quite a number of Subaru/ex-Subaru people on here.
Let us know the specs on your ordered car!

Here are the specs of the car. I think I went over board, but hey, first new car Ive bought.
07 MCS, LB/B, white turn signals, rear fog lights, cold weathe, premium, sport, hypersport, and audio packages, LSD, all season tires on the crown rims, anthracite headliner, Pacific Blue/Black seats, Pacific blue liner, fluid interior surface, alarm, and finally the navigation system.
This is really going to slow down my motorswap progress, but I should take my time with that anyway.
I almost didnt get the nav system, but my MA and I got lost on one of the test drives and it seemed like a feature worth having.

Welcome to NAM, it's great at your age you appear to know your cars and appreciate the features of a MINI.

Nice specs, that was an interesting way of the MA to hype the NAV unit, get lost and convince new customer it is a must have. I will have to remember that if I ever do MINI sales.

Good luck with the swap and remember to post some pictures of all your MINI and you MINI adventures.

Haha, my MA wasnt pushing the nav system on me. She said she was going to call the dealership to get directions, and I kept telling her that we wouldnt be going through this if the car had the nav system.
Ill be sure to post plenty of pictures when I get my Mini.
