Hi there. Just got a new to us '04 Mini Cooper S. Really like the car, sorry I waited so long.

Couple of questions: My wife backed into my friends car a tore the rear bumper cover. Can the cover itself be replaced? Is it a diy job? Are they available pre-painted?

where's the best place to find technical information on repairs and maintenance?

Welcome to NAM and good luck with the MINI. As far as the bumper cover goes, I'm sure you can buy just the cover but it will probably need to be painted. This site shows parts for the MINI (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do) - your MINI is an R53 in the list. Also, check around NAM as sometimes folks replace the standard bumper covers with the aero kit.
