Greetings, MINIlings.

Well, it's as official as I can make it. Wife has decided that a MINI is the car for her. She wants her fun car before one of us is relegated to kid car duty, and it no longer has to be a new car. So, this is what we've decided on.

New is a little out of our budget, as is an MCSc, used. So either an MCS or an MCC, the latter which is distressingly hard to find, even scouring across the country.

Question for you highlanders, as we are up at 6K feet. She's test driven an MCS previously, and found it was plenty peppy for her taste. Granted, she's coming from a '94 Saturn SL1, so I think most anything will feel peppy by comparison. Will an MCc be sluggish at altitude?

Ideally, we'd like to find, between now and the end of the year, a BRG/White with stripes, Cold and LSD. Sunroof would be nice but not a deal breaker. If an MCc can cut the mustard in the high country, all the better, but as I stated previously, they seem to be hard to come by pre-owned.

It's basically for the wife to drive and me to maintain. Note, that it's really maintain, not mod or tinker. I've got the Miata when I want to tinker.

So, that's that in a nutshell. Greetings, all, and looking forward to joining in earnest!

Welcome Aboard Check out the For Sale Forum here - see if there might be something that pops up. Seems to be the time of year when peeps start selling because the 07's are out. Of course there is always Ebay. There are also dealerships here as vendors on NAM. Worth checking with them as well as other dealers across the US. Ya just might find what you want...

As long as it's not a winter salty state, I think I can deal with out of state.
