MINI S Newb

Hi, my name is Kyle. I am from a small town in Missouri about 50 miles from STL but now live in Columbia, MO. Always been a Dodge guy and drove neons. just sold an 05 srt that put down 463whp & 478tq on pump gas!

always liked the mini's so i decided to finally get one and am in love with it. it is a silver 02 S model. has 40,xxx miles on it and is in great shape.

i have a few plans for the car, mainly suspension 1st and then some go fast goodies. I already bought a set of 18x7.5 Flik Wasp in black.

here is a few pics of the car:

Welcome to NAM Kyle!! You have a good looking ride and I'm sure your going to enjoy it. Is the lack of tire burning H/P a problem for you?? You must have had some big bucks wrapped up in the Neon. That was a lot of H/P in a small car.

o yes, i miss the power but i really don't miss the reliablity of it at all lol. i used to auto-x a 1g neon and got the srt and went to straight line racing. i just grew old of it and figured i would get back into auto-x again but get a really good handling car in stock form so i chose the mini. i still plan on throwing down in the ole' 1320 if i need to or in between stoplights so i would like to throw a few performance goodies on it and try to get it atleast into the 13s. it doesnt feel like it would take much to pull to them numbers with it, i was thinking a pulley, intake, exhaust and a tune would get me there shouldn't it?

btw, here is the previous monster i had, it went 11.87@123 on a stock engine and never ran it after the new engine went into it.

Welcome to the site!

Glad you got a fun ride now

I am curious, why would you make the time of you drag race a link to an email address?

i blew the engine in feburary and ended up going a little to much on the build. it was not streetable and wasnt fun to drive really. it had a really good tune on it but it still just wasnt all that driveable unless it was wot and then you better hold on cause it would torque steer all over the place or spin.

i used to do auto-x and wasnt able to do it with that car and got tired of going in a straight line so i sold it and got a mini!

thank you, only things wrong with the car is the driver seat has a small rip in the corner by the door where it tucks into the plastic cover. the other spot is on the back bumper on the driver side, they backed it into something and it cracked the paint and broke the red reflector. when they did that it broke the 3 rear clips on the fender flare but i already ordered new clips so that will be taken care of hopefully friday.
