Nice looking car you got there. I am guessing that charcoal=ds?
What does your local law enforcement say about the headlights, or do you just not drive after dark? Just wondering...looks good tho...

I like the way it looks (I also like the grill...why would you want to remove it?).
Have you seen some of the other cars on here where they have blacked out their chrome? Now that would look SAAWEEEEEEET!

I really like the look, mostly. I'm just curious that you didn't black out the headlight chrome rings? I think that would complete the effect, like the tail lights. I really like that kind of stipe. I would do that, but my wonderful wifey thinks stripes are for race cars, and doesn't want the cops to think that's what it is! :impatient

Welcome and nice looking MINI. The first thing that came to my mind when I was looking at you car, is that it would look BAD with a light bar and the four big lights on them !!!

Yeah, I would do the headlight rings to start, and then maybe the beltline. Once you do that, and see how unified it looks, and how it all goes together, I'm guessing that the fuel door, and door handles. I tried to do a search for a particular car I saw on here just a couple months ago. It was all black, and man did that look awesome. Totally changed the whole demeanor of the car. If I find it again, I'll post it. You can go to the gallery and do a search with keywords that may lead you to a photo of a car with blacked out trim. Or...maybe someone will remember whos car was listed previous, and post a photo on this thread. The headlights are a perfect place to start. They look a little too stark with the dark covers on the headlights now. Just my .02 worth....

alright, i'm going to black out the trim asap, i own a body shop so it's kind of easy for me to do so. should i black out the gas cap and the door handles as well or will that look too dark?

OH, yeah....or should I say 'yeah baby, yeah'! That car is hawt, and it is one of them I was thinking of. That car, and about 2 others that are in the gallery somewhere, (another black, and a DS like yours) are what really makes me second guess the decision I made in getting an Electric Blue like I did.
Dont get me wrong, I love the blue, but the whole attitude thing you got going on with yours is great. Makes me a little envious!
(Especially after someone posted that the lighter blue colors, along with a couple others, were "happy" and "bubbly"....AGGHHH)!
I really think that if you just do the headlight rings now, that you'll end up liking it so much, you'll keep going!

OK, I found the thread I was thinking about...check out some of these sweet rides:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=106537

heres one with the gas lid done:

and another:

There is a DS like yours on the thread that just blows my mind. Yours is pretty damn close, I know the top is different, but that'll just make it more bad a$$!
