Hello
Hello folks,
I've been reading the forums on this site for quite some time...just never got round to posting anything. I've got a 2002 Mini Cooper, yellow and black..."The Busy Bee." Greatest car I've ever owned!
My family and I live in Portland, Oregon (coolest city ever) and have considered joining a Mini club up here, however, I'm soon to relocate to my hometown of Austin, Texas (the other coolest city ever)...perhaps I'll join one down there. The Busy Bee will surely miss the weekend drives out to Oceanside and Mt. Hood, but he can't wait to take a buzz through my beloved Texas hill country!
The forums have been a fantastic source of information over the past few years. Many thanks to all of you that have posted here. Now I'll be off to post a thread on removing my door pulls...
Lates,
Justin

Welcome to NAM!!!
Concrats on your crossover from Lurker to Poster!!!
You surely live in a beautiful area. My husband has a friend living in your area that he met on his GT500 forum. He emails us pics of his family taking rides in the Grabber Orange GT500 to all the beautiful areas. He can see both Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Hood from his yard. We are talking about taking a trip out his way as he visited us last year for a GT500 get together on the east coast. He'll be here again in October for another gathering. We will surely be chatting about a trip to WA.
I'm all for taking the trip in the Mini. I think it would be neat to drive it coast to coast. Especially since the DH would never consider putting that many miles on the GT500. I can just see all the fun we'd have checking out all the sites along the way. Beats getting stuck in airports and wasting our time with layovers.
Oops, sorry about getting off the topic somewhat.
Post some pics of your car soon and add some of that beautiful scenery you live around.
