Help! Production Number references wrong color?

I just received my production number, so I went on over to the Owners Lounge. It's referencing the wrong color mini? My MA is out until tomorrow.

Anyone experience this? Do you know who I should be speaking with to ensure the right MINI order is allocated to me?

detail: I haven't completed the registration yet... the message (first step in owners lounge) reads:

The production number you entered, xxx, is for a Pepper White paint 2007 MINI Cooper S. If this is not your vehicle please check the production number you entered and click Re-Check Production Number. If this is your vehicle please click Continue.

I have not continued the registration process. I have left a voicemail for my MA. I'm expecting a Laser Blue Mini S. The registration number was copied exactly from the email I received.

This is completely normal. When you place your order, it replaces a production slot that the dealer had. The original production slot is for a spec car - your car order replaces this. It takes several days for the online system to get updated with your information. So relax, take a deep breath, and get used to the anxiety of tracking your baby through production. Good luck!

Many new buyers get caught up in that. It would be nice if the MAs warned people about that.

Welcome to the group. Can't tell if you're in Washington or Oregon, but either way, we're always glad to see new members from the Northwest.

I saw on another post that you're a Steelers fan. Lookingglass, the hometown of Troy Polamalu, is just a few miles out of town.

Perfectly normal. Wait a few days and check again.

First time I checked on mine, it suddenly became a black mcs.

heh.. yeah, there are two things they could do to help aleviate this stress.

1) warning us!
2) realize the impact of this statement: "If this is not your vehicle please check the production number you entered..."

ok, off that soapbox :D breathe in / breathe out...
