MINI Cooper S 2003 pearlgray

I'm new and old ,
first time owner of a mini cooper s 2003 and I got a great deal.
My Cooper only had 9,000 miles on it when I got it and it was loaded with accessaries. It's a beauty.
I am still reading the manual and I've had it for about 2 months.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with the air condioning system? Mine seems to cool for a short time and then it blows out warm air.
Next: I have those run flat tires, they are confusing.
Apparently I had been driving them flat because that was the way it came.
In the manual it say's fill to about 52lbs but talking to a machanic he said that that was to much air and told me to let air out to 32lbs.
What do you think?
Also, I checked on the recalls for 2003 and there were 4 recalls. Has anyone checked into this?
I'm from Chesterton Indiana and looking for a machanic in the area.
The closet dealership is about 2 hrs away , 2 in chicago , and 1 in Indianapolis.
I was wondering where anyone took there car for a basic oil change.

I was also wondering if the DSC should be turned on all the time or is it something that you use sometimes.

I hope some of these questions could be answered by some of you experts
Thanks
Pearlgray

Congrats and Welcome to NAM.
Sounds like a great deal.
I'd get the air conditioning system checked. IMHO it does get hot if you have a sunroof despite the air maxed and on re-circ.
52 psi is way toooo much. Check your door jam, put in the correct pressure and reset your warning system according to the owner's manual. The RF's are a rough ride -- many discussions in here [try the search function].
You could probably call the nearest dealer, give them your VIN and see if the recall notices have been addressed on your car.
I bet someone in Chicago [considering Gabe of MF and WRR fame lives there] could give you a few places to get routine service. I would not go to a Jiffy Lube or the like.... with as finicky as the oil filter is, you may wind up at home without any oil.
2 hours away -- more reason to MOTOR.

Hope you have fun with all the insanity. A MINI is much more than a car, if you do it right! The community is as much fun as the car.
