Spent a lot of time driving over those in High School, back when I was young and stupider. We used to race over them. Knew a couple people that left crosses on that road.

 

I can definitely see that.. I had a dude tailgating me at 15 MPH...and that was more than fast enough for me.. even in a MINI there's not much room for error there..

What really put things into perspective for me was the motocross hills below. From the point where that pic is taken they look like little 30 foot hills that the bikers are tearing up...when you come down among them you realize that they themselves are easily 100+ foot hills.
