Hi everyone here.
am rather new to the mini world...just got an 07 cooper..and have a question for anyone who might know....I tried to get some aftermarket wheels and the guy told me that the wheel lugs had changed on 07's and I am not able to get lugs for aftermarket wheels..he said mini is tryin to get a monopoly on the wheel world.....hopefully that's crap....cause you guys mini's are looking awesome....can anyone answer this....thanks Todd

 

The later R53's and now R56 use a very strange 14x1.25 lug thread. Most aftermarket wheels will fit as long as the lug bolt will go through the wheels' lug holes. The only people I know of that make aftermarket anything for the 14x1.25 is Texas Speedwerks.

Yes I'd believe MINI is trying their hardest to make aftermarket life as difficult as possible, however where there's a code, there will always be a code-breaker!
